  1. There are too many blurry messages on my phone when I glance at it at almost 5am. “You’ve been rebooked on a flight tomorrow.” says the top one when I’ve put on my glasses. Rebooked now on a different airline. Might still get home today. Might.

      I put some effort into maintaining status on American. It gets me better boarding and “free” access to the few tolerable seats, but sometimes feels wasteful. Today it got me rebooked on a Delta and home before tomorrow. Maybe. Email confirmation has not yet arrived.

        And that Delta flight was delayed, another misconnect. Now I'm rebooked, back on American, through LAX. That's Admiral's Club membership paying for itself this year
